Belvedere Update 20
Another site visit our at Belvedere. Blue tarps are gone from the front entry but all of the beautiful cast stone is now covered in pink foam to protect it for the rest of construction.
Progress continues on the exterior stone and cast stone and upper terrace. The bevel is also cut on the perimeter cast stone.
The waterproofing and tile is installed in the screen porch. Any water that goes through the screens will drain out behind a trim piece and down to the patio below. It is a complex detail but conceals the drainage from view from exterior and interior.
The mahogany ceiling beams and trim are complete. The photos do not do it justice, not only is the wood incredibly beautiful but the craftsmanship here is stunning.
Mahogany trim throughout is wrapping up. There are a lot of curved pieces of trim making for some complicated cutting. Every one looks this good.
Here is the view from the dam, as large as the house and exterior spaces are, they are still mostly hidden from view from other parts of the lake. That very tall stone wall will disappear even more once the final plantings are in.
