Belvedere Update 32

Progress, progress, progress! Grading and plantings and lower retaining walls are coming together as we get closer to the finish line. The outdoor spaces are going to be incredible on this project. Deck + _ 2

Things are moving quickly on this project. The main roof and skylights are up and it is looking amazing. Adding a screen or covered porch can cut off a lot of natural light from your living space. We always suggest strongly that at least one skylight is added to restore that natural light. This particular client agreed and we ended up with some large skylights that still allow a view of the sky from the living room windows. ...

Belvedere Update 19

A hot day out at Belvedere for a site visit but things on the interior and the exterior continue to move along despite the weather. Here is a view of the front of the house, the masons have made a little tarp fort for themselves as the sun just beats down on the front of the house. This is what is happening behind the tarps. Another RDM kitchen project wrapped up last month. This one very different from the last post below in style but it turned out great and has some pretty cool things going on. The cabinets are traditional in style and finished with a simple off-white paint. 6135 Studio

This project in theBrookside area involved replacing a worn out detached 2 car garage with a new 2 car garage along side an art studio. The parameters of the design for the studio/garage were the clients request to have everything on one level, the context of the neighborhood and the confines of the rear yard of the lot. The new driveway and sidewalk help define the planting bed that will bring some ‘green’ back into the back yard.  ...
