5400 Residence

We wrapped up this project a couple months ago and construction is moving along. The existing shed addition was removed and we are adding a new shop space to the existing garage. This addition will also allow more convenient access to the existing garage attic. The project includes a new arbor that matches one added on the opposite side of the house as part of a previous RDM project. Here is the existing rear of the house. The shed...

324 Residence 2

The last post covered some of the variance process, now we can get into the project a little more. Below is the same rendering. The biggest change to the exterior of the house is this addition that is made up of two garage bays with storage and the expansion of an existing bedroom above. Belvedere Update 1

There is more excavation to come yet but the form of the house is slowly rising from the ground. To the right is the entrance to the lower garage, the curving wall beyond is the lower patio, past that and up the stepped wall is the...

Belvedere Concrete

[gallery link="file" size="medium" ids="837,836,838"] The form work for the remainder of the concrete at Belvedere is ready and concrete should be poured this week. The forms themselves are beautiful in an industrial sort of way and a sharp contrast to the natural landscape beyond and the crisp finished concrete around it. We'll post some pictures as soon as the forms come off. Excavation and concrete work are going to be finished soon and then the house starts to really become three dimensional....
