6109 Residence Update 5
It is done! Ok from this view it doesn’t look any different from the last time other than the grass but keep scrolling!
The final coat of paint is on and the light fixtures installed. The aluminum and glass overhead doors are installed and hooked up. We went with a jackshaft operator in order to keep the space as open as possible and it also reduces the noise significantly. They were able to get a great finish on the conrete slab, it almost feels like a polished floor.
The exterior looks fantastic. The addition relates to the existing house while bringing in a little bit of a contemporary industrial feel. We love the way it turned out.
Another view of the exterior showing the deck off of the master bedroom with a custom galvanized steel and cable rail with a wood top rail. The handrail height wall to the right was added to allow for the expansion of the roof and to ensure we had some space to sufficiently flash the metal roof. It looks like it has always been there.
There was still a little touch-up happening in the mudroom/ laundry room. We’ll have some pictures of that space when we go back to take our final pictures.
It has been another successful RDM Architecture and Hurst Construction project made possible by some wonderful clients.
