Prairie Modern from the Sky

We love this house and seeing it from the above was fantastic. Andrew Patch from Heartland Drone Company came out and shot it and then put this video together for us. Take a look and let us know what you think. ...

Architecturally Attached Garage Progress

This project centered around the idea of creating a garage that would accommodate a handicap accessible van as well as create an entrance to the home from the drive. We were challenged by the requirement to keep the garage architecturally attached to the home. Eventually we landed on the idea that the home and garage should be connected via a large horizontal plane or pergola. More pictures to follow....

Lakehouse Master Bath

The weather outside might be edging toward frightful but we've gotten the photos back on this Lakehouse Master Bathroom and we love the way it turned out. This was a remodel and addition which updated the master bedroom and reworked and expanded the master bath and closet to make it much more usable and a place where you might want to live full time. Blues and grays make this a very calming space perfect for a weekend (or more!) at the lake. We...

RDM Architecture in Spaces

We love this house and we're happy to see it highlighted in one of our favorite local architecture magazines and on the cover no less! There wasn't much room in the article to mention the people that helped make it as cool as we think it is and while we hope that it will be featured in future articles that might mention those involved in making a design like this a reality we want to highlight those people whenever we can. The...

More Press!

This project has been done for a while but we're thrilled that KC Home and Style has featured it. We've got a pretty good spread of photos in this issue and a great article. You can flip through the issue (we start on page 39) or if you want to read the article without the flipping - http://homesandstylekc.com/michelangelo-built-home/ Thanks to KC Home and Style for the press and thanks to all the people involved in the project for making it fantastic! ...

Aberdeen House 2

There aren't a lot of changes on the exterior of the house itself beyond the windows, doors and a few modifications but on the interior we are drastically changing the house. Taking it from something that is very traditional and essentially unchanged since it was built to something that is a nice mix of very contemporary and transitional. The largest of the changes are in the kitchen wing of the house. The existing kitchen wing was broken up into a series...

2019 Residence-Phase 2-4

A glare-filled picture but paint and trim are all done and it looks great. We also added some width and an overhang to the existing dormers to bring them into scale with the rest of the house and replaced the existing siding, windows and trim. A view of the rear of the house. Trim and siding is wrapped up. Just a little bit left. A finished shot of the upstairs bedroom. The clients did hand-drawn linework on the walls and picked a...
